What to do if Sandvox crashes

As with any software, Sandvox may occasionally crash. If so, don't worry! Sandvox should in no way affect the rest of your computer.

To help us improve future versions, Sandvox features a crash reporter. This, (if you choose to use it) alerts Karelia to the fact that Sandvox crashed and helps us track down the issue.

What to do if Sandvox crashes:

  1. When Sandvox crashes, you are initially presented with Apple's crash reporter:

  2. There is no need to click the "Report…" button. This will only send information about the crash to Apple, leaving us unable to diagnose it. Instead, click "Close."
  3. Relaunch Sandvox; It will alert you that there was a crash previously:

  4. Click "Report to Karelia." This will send an excerpt of your console log along with information about where the error occurred in the flow of the program. Although optional, providing an email address will allow us to contact you should we need to follow up. No personal data will be transmitted other than what you provide to us (e.g. your email address and the contents of your console log relating to Sandvox).
