Thumbnail
Every page can have a thumbnail. This is a small image (128 x 128 pixels) used to represent the page's content. Thumbnails can be used in many areas of a site. For example, in an index such as a photo grid:
For Photo pages, Sandvox also displays the thumbnail for the page's icon in the Site Outline:

To set a page's thumbnail:
- Select the page in the Site Outline.
- Open the Page Inspector.
-
Drag the new thumbnail image onto the "Thumbnail" box. This can be from the Media Browser, the Finder or another application.

For certain page types (Photo and Video), Sandvox automatically sets the thumbnail from the page's content. (This only applies to local media, not media loaded up over the Internet; you will need to create a thumbnail yourself.)
If you try to set a thumbnail image that is larger than 128x128 pixels, Sandvox automatically resizes and sharpens it.
To reset or remove a page's thumbnail:
- Select the page in the Site Outline.
- Open the Page Inspector.
- Click the
button. Depending on the type of page selected, this will either completely remove the thumbnail or reset it to the default.
